Manual

MangaHalo user manual

Use MangaHalo when you are already reading a Japanese manga page in Kindle Cloud Reader and want a quick English layer for the current page.

Basic flow

1

Open a manga page

Start from the page you want to read in Kindle Cloud Reader.

2

Click Translate page

MangaHalo prepares English text for the page you are looking at.

3

Use the overlay as a reading aid, then move to the next page when ready.

Controls

Translate page
Creates the English layer for the current page.
EN
Shows the English layer while you read.
JP
Hides the English layer so you can check the original page.
Refresh
Use it after turning a page or changing the reader size.

What the overlay is for

  • Understanding dialogue on the page you are reading now.
  • Checking a line quickly without leaving Kindle Cloud Reader.
  • Switching back to Japanese whenever the original wording matters.
  • Reading page by page, without making translated files.

When the page looks off

The English text is cramped

Try the JP view for the original line, then translate again after resizing the reader.

A bubble is missed

Keep reading from the original page and retry if the line is important.

The page changed

Use Refresh or Translate page again. The overlay is meant for the visible page.

The original matters

Switch to JP. MangaHalo is a helper, not a replacement for the manga page.

Boundaries

MangaHalo is a temporary on-screen reading aid. It is not for making translated manga files, building a page archive, or sharing translated pages.
